I’ve been waiting for my invite to the beta to come for quite some time as I’ve been really excited by the promise that this appication showed just in it’s concept alone.

I’m not disappointed. In fact, quite the opposite. This is superb. Wow, gushing praise from me, but this deserves it. Yes, it’s got its flaws, the navigation is a little clunky in places, and I kind of bummed that it thinks Rockville Center is in Maryland cause I wanted to put the first pin for Long Island in the overall map, but come on, I’m training it on baby pictures and it’s actually managing to recognize them from some of the early day pictures and onwards as the babies get bigger.

Michael Arrington says he wants yahoo to buy Riya so that they can integrate it with flickr. Why? Who needs flickr? This can easily be a one stop shop for all your photo needs so long as they tie it into a shutterfly or similar photo printing application.

Oh well, thats enough for now, got to back and do some more training
